My doggy girl

For me, my dog is not just a pet, but a valued member of my family. Our bond is strong, and we've been through a lot together. My dog's name is Lily, and she's a Labrador. From the moment we brought her home as a puppy, I knew that she was going to be an important part of our lives. She was energetic, curious, and full of personality. As she grew, our bond grew stronger, and she became more than just a pet - she was my companion and my best friend.       Lily has been there for me through the ups and downs of life. She's been a source of comfort and joy during times of stress or sadness. Her wagging tail and cheerful bark always lift my spirits, and her unwavering loyalty and affection make me feel loved and appreciated. One of the things I love most about Lily is her playful nature.Watching her run and play is a reminder to let go of my worries and enjoy the present moment. Her energy is contagious, and she never fails to make me smile .   ...

The most precious love I have ever received

The greatest love I see in my life is with my Jesus. Whenever I fall, I have my jesus by my side. I love him so much. My Jesus gives me strength when I make decisions in my life. Jesus treats everyone the same and loves everyone. He feels for everyone. I also want to develop good qualities like that. Jesus is always with me in places where I have fallen and I can feel it. “ This is how the love of God is revealed to us: God has sent his only Son into the world so that we can live through him. This is love: it is not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son as the sacrifice that deals with our sins." This is how God's love is described in the Bible.     God loves us enough to send His only precious Son to pay for our sins. Therefore, we should love God that much. I don't get that much love from anyone else. Therefore, as God said, we should love each other as He loves us sinners. One should live with humility and respect others.

Baking a cake for the first time

Baking a cake for the first time can be an exciting but daunting experience. I remember the first time I attempted to bake a cake, and it was a memorable experience that taught me a lot about baking and patience.         I decided to bake a vanilla sponge cake, as it was a simple recipe and did not require a lot of ingredients. I carefully followed the recipe, measuring out each ingredient and mixing them together in a bowl. I was careful not to overmix the batter, as I had read that this could lead to a dense and heavy cake. Once the batter was ready, I poured it into a greased cake tin and placed it in the oven. As I waited for the cake to bake, I was filled with anticipation and excitement. However, after 20 minutes, I noticed that the cake had not risen as much as I had expected.       I decided to leave the cake in the oven for a few more minutes, hoping that it would rise. However, after 30 minutes, the cake was ...

My biggest fear and how I overcome it

Swimming is a popular activity, but for some, it can be a source of anxiety and fear. For as long as I can remember, I have been afraid of swimming in deep water. To overcome this fear, I have started taking swimming lessons and have found that having a professional instructor has been a huge help in building my confidence. I have also been practicing swimming in shallow water, which has helped me get used to the sensation of being in the water and work on my technique without feeling overwhelmed. I have been gradually working my way into deeper water, taking small steps and always pushing myself a little bit further.             Another thing that has helped me overcome my fear of swimming is setting small goals for myself. For example, I might start by swimming to the end of the pool and back, and then gradually increase the distance as I become more confident. This has helped me build my endurance and has given me a sense of accompli...

Nuwara Eliya is a beautiful city located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. It is often referred to as the 'Little England' of Sri Lanka due to its cool climate and colonial architecture. we all went on a trip to Nuwara Eliya in the end of last year.We went therre with two other families. It took us about 2 and a half hours to reach to Nuwara Eliya. The first things I noticed about Nuwara Eliya was the cool climate. The temperature was around 15-20 degrees Celsius we were there during the day and it dropped even lower at night.        First we went to the hotel that we are going to stay for two days and we got changed into new clothes there and went back to see the Gregory park. It was around 4 pm when we went there and it was so cold. we spend sometime there taking photos and also we took our tea there. and then again we came back to our hotel. That night we had a nice bbq and also we had a couple of drinks and we sang all the night and we danced...

Hike to Hanthana

One day, some of my friends and I decided to climb Mount Hantana. We all came to Kandy early that morning and left by a bus to Hantana .We also brought food and drinks. After getting off, we went to the place where we were going to climb the mountain. That side is very beautiful. There were tea plantations everywhere. We were going through the middle of them. About fifteen of us friends went on this trip.      Since we went early in the morning, the weather was not too bad. We started climbing the hill. As we were going uphill, we started to feel tired. We stopped and took photos. We went up the mountain one by one, eating and drinking the food that was brought. Although the road is a bit difficult, we felt that the fatigue will disappear automatically when we see the beauty of the environment while going up. We slowly climbed to the top of the mountain.         When you go up, you can see ...

My school life

I went to three schools during my school years. When my mother came to transfer, I also had to change my schools. My favorite period of my school days starts after I passed the scholarship and came to Kandy. From the schools I went to since childhood, my favorite school is Good Shepherd Convent Kandy. It is the school that gave me many experiences in my life. I went to this school from grade 6 to 13   At first I had to stay in the hostel because my parents were far away. Even though I stayed in the hostel for a while, I was happy that time. At first I cried a lot, I was a little kid in grade 6 at that time. Although being alone was a big challenge for me, I got used to it later. I made friends at the new school. I studied well. After a while, my parents came to Kandy, so I left the hostel and came to school from home.During this time, I got involved in extracurricular activities at school. I was in the music group, choir and eastern band at school....
